I’ve always been very passionate about experiencing new things, and then utilizing that experience to create new art and designs. Whether it’s music, food, art, or traveling, I’m always looking for something new to download into my brain.
When I was 3 years old, my daycare teacher pointed out to my parents how I had drawn hands and fingers on my stick figures, and that this somehow meant I was predestined to be an artist. Over 20 years later, I’m now working at Argonomo as a designer and brand strategist, so clearly I haven’t shook the mold.
I’ve always felt a strong pull towards different forms of media, especially those that featured unique illustrative work. I began studying drawing in a more rigorous way during high school at the Birmingham-Bloomfield Art Center in order to one day affect media like I had grown up loving. Continuing my studies, I moved on to the College for Creative Studies, where I was introduced to graphic design, new mediums, and the different ways I could merge my traditional training with today’s technologies.
When I get a chance to step away from the computer, I’m either traveling or thinking about traveling. I’ve been lucky enough to backpack through Southeast Asia, Japan, and Germany, with plans for either New Zealand or France next. I hope to live in Tokyo one day.
